My work is about the moments of stability that we have in the midst of constant transformation.

Some truths and half truths that are starting points for my work:
- Forms and shapes often have an internal logic that makes sense for a little while. And then it stops making sense.
- Gravity, structure, and decoration are consistent themes in the story of the human condition.
- Storms eventually show up.
- The violence of nature seems less frightening when it’s depicted with bright colors and designs.
- Arcadia and perfection are both worthwhile goals and completely unattainable.
- Things are special because they don’t last forever.
